We are Rubber Tube Manufacturers In China

High-Performance Custom Rubber Tubing: Exact Tolerances & Fluid Solutions

A wall thickness variation of just 0.1 mm can cause rubber tube to leak at the fittings or even expand and burst under system pressure. As a China-based rubber extrusion manufacturer with 20 years of direct OEM supply experience, RiseUp uses laser diameter measurement systems for real-time monitoring on the production line, ensuring that every meter of tubing strictly meets RMA Class A tolerances.

Whether you need 10,000 meters of FDA-grade silicone tubing for medical peristaltic pumps or custom co-extruded NBR fuel tube, we help you tightly control tolerance ranges and achieve precise inner and outer diameters (ID/OD), while completely eliminating the quality risks caused by intermediaries seeking margins but lacking proper quality control.

Capabilities of our rubber tubing factory: tight tolerances, custom profiles, industrial grades, and wholesale pricing

Engineering Fundamentals: More Than Just a Hollow Tube

Different from static molded seals, rubber tubing is a continuous extruded profile engineered for dynamic fluid transfer and mechanical protection. While rigid plastics (like PVC) or metals might crack under vibration or fail in extreme temperatures, thermoset elastomeric tubing offers an irreplaceable combination of structural memory, chemical immunity, and kink resistance.

Why Engineers Spec Custom Rubber over Rigid Piping

  • 1. Kink Resistance & Routing Flexibility: Route lines through extremely tight chassis radii without the tube walls collapsing (kinking) and cutting off fluid flow.

  • 2. Exceptional Elastic Recovery: Essential for peristaltic pumps. The tubing can be compressed by mechanical rollers millions of times and instantly snap back to its original round shape without permanent deformation.

  • 3. Vibration Isolation (Zero Water Hammer): In high-pressure pneumatic or hydraulic return lines, rubber naturally absorbs system pulsations, dampening noise and preventing the destructive “water hammer” effect on fittings.

Real-World OEM Case Studies

Case 1: Solving Fuel Hose Degradation for an Automotive OEM

Challenge:
In 2018, a European automotive customer introduced a new biodiesel blend, which caused their standard NBR fuel hoses to crack prematurely.

RiseUp Solution:
We engineered a co-extruded tube with an inner layer made of highly chemical-resistant Viton™ (FKM) to withstand biofuels, and an outer layer bonded with a weather-resistant ECO (epichlorohydrin rubber) jacket.

Result:
Achieved zero field failures and extended the hose service life by 300%.

Case 2: High-Purity Peristaltic Pump Tubing for Medical Equipment

Challenge:
A U.S. medical device manufacturer sourced silicone tubing from a local supplier at three times our price, but the tubing lost elasticity after only 100 hours of peristaltic pump compression, resulting in inaccurate dosing.

RiseUp Solution:
We provided a custom platinum-cured silicone tube with tightly controlled 50A Shore hardness, combined with a proprietary post-curing process to maximize tear resistance.

Result:
The tubing maintained consistent flow with no degradation even after 1,000 hours of continuous pumping.

Beyond the Round Tube: Advanced Extrusion Profiles

A standard single-wall tube handles basic applications, but modern fluid dynamics and space constraints often demand complex geometries. Our in-house tooling center and advanced extrusion heads allow us to manufacture specific profiles that solve your exact routing challenges:

standard rubber tube

Standard Solid Wall Tubing (Single Lumen)

The Foundation: The industry-standard round tube. Engineered with highly concentric inner and outer walls to prevent weak spots and ensure uniform burst pressure ratings.

Multi-Lumen Tubing

Multi-Lumen Tubing

The Space Saver: Features two, three, or more independent internal channels within a single extruded outer wall. Essential for medical catheters, analytical instruments, and routing multiple gases simultaneously without tangling.

Co-Extruded Tubing

Co-Extruded Tubing

The Hybrid Armor: Extruding two different elastomer compounds simultaneously. Combine a chemical-resistant inner liner with a rugged, UV-resistant outer jacket. Maximum performance, optimized material cost.

Profile & Shaped Tubing

The Custom Fit: Tubing doesn’t have to be round. We extrude Square, Rectangular, D-Shaped, and U-Channel hollow profiles designed to seat perfectly into specific chassis grooves.

Braided / Reinforced Tubing

The Pressure Master: Features an internal layer of woven fabric (polyester, fiberglass, or Kevlar) sandwiched between the inner and outer rubber walls. Withstands massive internal fluid pressures without ballooning.

The Manufacturing Journey: From Raw Compound to Final Assembly

Before any post-processing begins, how is high-performance rubber tubing actually made? Unlike static molding, rubber tubing is manufactured through an ultra-precise Continuous Extrusion Process.

  • 1. High-Pressure Feeding & Shaping: Raw compound is fed into a cold-feed extruder. To prevent premature curing, the barrel is water-cooled to 60°C-90°C. The rotating screw generates massive internal pressures—1,500 to 4,000 PSI (10-28 MPa)—forcing the elastomer through a custom Die and Mandrel. This guarantees ultra-dense walls with zero micro-porosity.

  • 2. Continuous Vulcanization (CV): Immediately after exiting the die, the soft profile enters the CV line. Depending on the polymer, we deploy UHF Microwave, Hot Air, or LCM salt baths (200°C-220°C). This 360-degree heat transfer cross-links polymer chains instantly at line speeds up to 30 meters/min, locking in final dimensions and elastic memory.

Assembly-Ready: Factory-Direct Value-Added Operations

Precision Cut-to-Length (Automated Slitting):

  • The Capability: We use laser-measured, automated cutters to deliver millions of pre-cut tube segments accurate to ±0.5mm, ready for instant installation.

  • ⚠️ Engineering Precaution (Beware of Blade Crush): When cutting thin-walled tubing, manual or dull blades will crush the tube, leaving an angled or permanently deformed oval end. Our Solution: We utilize specialized high-speed rotary blades and, when necessary, insert temporary internal mandrels during cutting to guarantee a perfectly flush, 90-degree circular cut.

Permanent laser engraved OEM logos and part numbers on medical silicone tubing.

Custom Printing & Coding:

  • The Capability: Ensure foolproof assembly for your technicians. We can print OEM part numbers, logos, flow-direction arrows, or continuous color-coded stripes directly onto the tubing jacket.

  • ⚠️ Engineering Precaution (Ink Adhesion Failure): Standard inks easily rub off or dissolve when exposed to industrial fluids or sterilization processes. Our Solution: We use specialized industrial-grade curing inks or utilize Laser Ablation for permanent, non-contaminating marks that will never fade, even on difficult surfaces like Silicone.

PSA Tape Backing:

  • The Capability: For extruded profiles used as cabinet seals, we can apply high-performance 3M™ PSA tape to the flat back during the extrusion process for easy peel-and-stick installation.

  • ⚠️ Engineering Precaution (Low Surface Energy Peeling): Elastomers like EPDM and Silicone have naturally “Low Surface Energy” (LSE), causing regular adhesives to peel off after a few weeks. Our Solution: We utilize inline Plasma Surface Treatment and specialized chemical primers before applying the tape, creating an unbreakable chemical bond between the rubber and the adhesive.

3M pressure-sensitive adhesive (PSA) tape application on custom rubber extrusion profiles

Hot Vulcanized Splicing:

  • The Capability: Need a massive custom loop seal? We precision-cut the tubing and use a hot-vulcanizing press to bond the ends together, creating infinite loop seals.

  • ⚠️ Engineering Precaution (Hard Joints & Leaks): Cheap splicing methods use superglue (Cyanoacrylate), which creates a rigid, brittle “hard spot” at the joint that cracks and leaks under compression. Our Solution: We use a hot-vulcanized splice with the exact same uncured compound as the parent tube. The resulting joint is virtually invisible, maintaining 100% of the tube’s original flexibility and strength.

The Engineer's Sizing Guide: Hardness, ID/OD, and RMA Tolerances

Selecting the Right Shore A Hardness (Durometer)

  • 30A to 50A: Standard for medical IV lines and peristaltic pumps. Very elastic but lacks rigidity for high-pressure.

  • 60A to 70A: The optimal balance of flexibility and burst resistance for general routing.

  • 75A to 85A: Highly resistant to kinking and vacuum collapse. Hard to push over barbs without lubricants.

The 3 Critical Dimensions

  • 1. Inside Diameter (ID) – The 10% Interference Rule: For a leak-proof seal on rigid barbs, specify an ID 5% to 10% smaller than your fitting’s OD.

  • 2. Outside Diameter (OD) – The Clearance: Ensure OD is smaller than chassis holes.

  • 3. Wall Thickness (WT) – The Pressure Barrier: Calculated as (OD – ID) ÷ 2. Determines burst pressure.

Extrusion Tolerances: General vs. RiseUp Precision

We manufacture to strict RMA (Rubber Manufacturers Association) standards. (Example: Tubing with 10mm OD):

  • The Industry Average (RMA Class E3): Commercial suppliers allow ± 0.80 mm.

  • RiseUp Standard (RMA Class E2): Our baseline tightens variance to ± 0.40 mm.

  • RiseUp High-Precision (RMA Class E1): For critical medical devices, we achieve ± 0.20 mm utilizing laser micrometers. QC Warning: Never use digital calipers to measure a soft tube by squeezing it. We utilize non-contact Optical Comparators and Pin Gauges.
